Warriors
Warriors is my favorite series, and its by Erin Hunter. It is pretty popular in America. It has it own wesite(check the bottom of the post) and it is 16 books long(not including the 3 manga books and 1 super edition) I have already read every book in the series, and I cannot wait for the next book to come out. Erin Hunter promises many more Warriors books to come.
This is what the first book looks like:
Now if you think it is just a book about cats lying around doing nothing, YOUR WRONG!
Many people mistake it for that, which is dumb because they have not even read it. So many things happen in the Warriors series, which may change the way you look at your average house cat forever. It sure did to me! lol

Re: Warriors
It did. I live in America, ut I've never heard of the books!
Is that why you named your CBF account wildclaw?

Yup. Wildclaw is a made up name, though. I usually go by icewing(my favorite made-up name) , but it was already taken on the forums.
An example of non-made up names in the series are these:
-Firestar
-Brambleclaw
-Squirrelflight
-Jaypaw
-Tigerclaw(very evil & ambitious! )
Those are just a few-theres a ton of names!

atlantaqq wrote:I really like those names - really creative!
Well its not only one person who made up those names. Does Erin Hunter sound like a made up name to you? Well your right-Erin Hunter is actually three people! Victoria Holmes, Kate Cary, and Cherith Baldry. Viky comes up with the story ideas and makes sure the book stays consistent, while Kate and Cherith take it in turns to write the books. They came up with the name Erin Hunter so that it wouldn't confuse readers and make the books sorted in different places on bookshelves.
The names are made up in two different sections-the first is a natural thing, like sand, brambles, fire, or maybe the color of the cats fur or an adjective.
The second part is part of the cat, like tail, fur, pelt, claw, etc.Or maybe a random thing.
Then put them together and there you go!
Ex:Sandstorm
Graystripe
Longtail
Tigerclaw
You get it. Now leaders, apprentices, and kits are another story...those were only for warriors and the deputy!

Re: Warriors
Yeah, when I first heard of the author, I thought it was kind af a coinsdince of the name 'Erin Hunter' because it sound like it was... yeah, made up.
Even if the names ARE in certain patterns, I still think they're cute!
Hey, do the books come in certain order?
If they do, would you mind telling me what is the first book?
Thanks!

Yep, they come in a certain order, all 16 of them! The first book is called Into the wild. There is a picture of it in the first post. I like the names, too

Re: Warriors
Thanks! I also found a site that said the books in order. (It was RIGHT after I posted that message )
But I'm kinda confused...
What is the difference between the 'warriors' and 'the new prophecy','power of 3', and the 'special edition books'?
Yeah, and the Manga books, is it just in Manga style but has the same story as the books?

Oh, no. The manga just has a little story that gives you details to an event in the series. But you will get there later on, so i suggest not reading the manga until you get to New prophecy: Starlight. There is really no difference between them. I mean, you could just put all the books in one series and it would probably make no difference. I guess Erin does that when a huge event in the series occurs, or when a new main character is introduced.Just make sure you read them in that order: Regular, New Prophecy, and Power of Three. The super edition book is a whole different story(literally!) Just like manga, except it is an actual chapter book.

Re: Warriors
I remember when I went to the library to get that book. They had two copies but both were out. I had to put a hold on one of them(behind other people) which lasted for 3 weeks! I gotta tell you, many people enjoy starting the warriors series!

Re: Warriors
I guess.
Lucky for you! I can't even place hold on a book because I got the children's Library card! My family goes to 2 libraries. And one has just started. So, it only has..like adult books. Only a little bit of Children's books. SO my mom took us to a library which has more of those books. But now it's under construction and closed on Sundays. (that is when we normaly go to the library) So we are going there next week on a Saturday and hopefully I'll find the series! Wish me luck!
